Frequently asked questions

Here are our FAQs. If you have a question that isn't listed here then please get in touch now!

Do I have to audition?

Nope! Our choirs are open to all! So whether you think you're a good singer or not, why don't you come and give it a try!

Do you use sheet music?

Nope! We don't believe anyone should be excluded from singing just because they don't read sheet music! We learn by ear and use lyric sheets.

How much does it cost?

Your first session at choir is free! After that, we pay monthly so it's all super simple. You can also choose to pay annually which will get you a 10% discount. You can check out the details for these here.

What age do you have to be?

Our choirs are aged 18+ and we have a really big mix of ages from 18 through to 60+. So as long as you're over 18, you're good to go! And no... you're not too old ;)

Do you run during term time?

We usually run during term time. We meet for 38 weeks of the year and break for half terms, Christmas, Easter & Summer. We break a week earlier than the schools in December to have a social!

Should I sing Alto, Soprano or something else?

Our choirs are split into 3 sections main sections: sopranos, middles & altos! The middles generally take the melody of a song, altos sing lower and sopranos sing higher. If you're a guy, then generally lower singers (bass) join in with the altos and higher singers (tenor) join in with the middles.

Use our 'choir section checker' to help you work out which section would suit your voice best.

What sort of music do you sing?

We sing pop songs that you know and love from the charts. Some of them are new, some of them are old, but they're all really good fun!

Do you perform?

Yes! We love to go busking and perform at local events, especially to help raise money for charity. Performances are not mandatory. If you have an event you'd like the choir to perform at then get in touch!

Where do you rehearse?
